With all the grants and incentives, it helped to create an increase in spending, but it also created an increase in demand. So, now I am going to feel even more of that impact with the delays of contractors and inability to get parts quickly.

I don’t have much information, but the last date I was given for settlement was the 20th. Two days ago, I now have a new date for estimated settlement of the 21st December 2021. Meaning I won’t be in the new house for Christmas or New Year. And removalists around that time may be more difficult than the grants caused with migrations back in March when I moved out. We shall see how it all goes though.

Did you notice the difference above? I know it is a bit darker as I didn’t get there till late, and the first time this week. But with all the rain around, I was glad to see this difference. The front door was up last week, along with all the internal doors.

Bricks still haven’t been delivered, and with all the rain and storms around that has me worried. But, with all the houses being built, of course there will be material and labour shortages. I just hope that the insulation is doing a good enough job to protect it.

But I am super happy to finally have a garage door up. It’s a big [little] change. As in, it makes a big impact, but really was probably a day or two for it to go in. I’ll go back in the day time to properly see the colour. But it is a light grey, to contract the dark grey render that is yet to be done. Yes, I made a small update a big one.

The architraves are on, skirting boards are mostly there, wardrobes started to be built and the wall and ceilings have been sanded ready for paint.

The bricks have not been delivered yet, but there are some other things delivered.
