A passenger of my own thoughts

A passenger of my own thoughts

With recent events and how things have been unfolding, I noticed something I don’t think I ever have before. As things slowly built up and everything all piled on at once, usually I am quite able in my own opinion to deal with such situations. This time was not one of those times. Not at all. There is no need to get into the details of everything that has been going on, but dissecting how my brain pieced it all together and handled it is another thing. We all find our own way to deal with such situations and it is not always necessarily just one way. Typically I prioritise the issues and deal with them one at a time to get it all sorted systematically and logically trying not to let anyone or myself down.

We All Need Balance

We All Need Balance

Left foot and right foot, when we walk, the swing of our arms. Talking and listening. Watching and observing. Sitting and standing. Healthy food and junk food. All things which we need to balance, don’t have too much of this, eat more of that. Everything in our lives needs balance. This doesn’t always occur in the same moment. More or all of one and then switching to all of the other. Sometimes most of one and a small amount of the other. Now I don’t know the full details but I see something that represents this well.

We All Need a Break

We All Need a Break

There is a point where all of us can take it no more. Where every little thing just gets to your core. Everyone has this point and sometimes you don’t even realise it. But I can honestly say I am at this point. It’s not a bad thing, I know it is entirely normal. Everything at home and at work is getting to me and I am finding it hard to keep my cool. Now day to day I am usually 100% chill, but right now I’d say I’m about 20%. But overall it’s not because I am stressed or because I have anything major going on. I just need a break.

Money Can Buy You Happiness

Money Can Buy You Happiness

You know the old saying “Money Can’t Buy You Happiness” and it is true, there are no stores that sell happiness. Well other than maybe a chemist or the girl on the corner [that is a good song name]. But I don’t believe that saying to be true, I think it is actually entirely wrong. Obviously money is very important to many people in this world and in fact almost everyone relies on it. Whether it be the average Joe living the daily grind, the CEO of an international company or the kids in Africa. In some way shape or form we all rely on money. But the money itself is not causing the happiness or turmoil in everyone’s life? Or is it?

I May Not Have Money

I May Not Have Money

But there are is so much more to life. This is a lesson I still need to learn, but it will eventually get hammered into that brain of mine. Lessons aren’t easy, otherwise you would just know it already. It takes time and effort to learn them and they can be unlearnt. Now the people close to me don’t know this, but last week there were a couple of points where I was depressed. Severely depressed, as in I made a mental note to keep an eye on myself depressed.

High Functioning Autism and OCD

High Functioning Autism and OCD

So I was driving back from the nearby town in one of the work vehicles and didn’t bother changing the radio station. Now I usually try and keep the cars how I find them as there is someone who has to drive it home and put up with all the setting changes and stuff being moved around. In saying that I don’t mind Radio National and that is what was on. There was a story that really got my attention and I could relate to rather closely. It was on the show called Conversations with Richard Fidler that had a story from Lily Bailey and her escape from OCD. Now I’m not saying I have anywhere near the struggle or anything to that extreme. However I could relate to a number of things.

Being as Slack as Feesh

Being as Slack as Feesh

So it has been a while since I have put any effort into anything other than the daily grime. I haven’t done any editing on videos, updating websites or obviously any blogs. I know, I know, what a lazy bastard. Hahaha however, I will get there. There are plenty of things I want to do and update and change [and and and]. There is the final episode of Ritty’s Adventure’s, it has been a while since there has been a Ritty’s Ramble and plenty of How To videos I want to do. The business website is also sitting there waiting for me to finish adding details. As well as other things around the house. But one day it will get done, I will do it.

Mistakes Were Made

Mistakes Were Made

This isn’t entirely detrimental to my life and it is just part of the year of financial ‘limitations’ that I will have to endure. But I found another thing which will reduce my weekly spending limit and make each day more difficult. This was all due to my very hands off approach to money and something I missed with my friend when we were going through all my finances. Thankfully I found it only 2 and a bit weeks after putting this financial plan in place, but it just adds to the money that I have to account for in this initial phase of it all.

Making Some Changes

Making Some Changes

So there have been a few changes in my life recently and I have been actively trying to make some more changes as well. Now I am thinking about it there are many things going on right now, haha but that’s ok, I’m ok.

I started a new position, had a basic financial plan that in all honesty was never going to work, since had a friend work with me to create a concrete financial plan, actually created a website for my personal business and now have updated my website after how many years of neglect.
